Muscle Massing

"I have the strength of one small boy--with polio."

-- Woody Allen, as Kleinnmann, Shadows and Fog
(N and I just watched this a couple nights ago...I love Woody)

Inspired perhaps by my inability to cross the monkey bars at the park (remember when that was easy and fun?!), I thought I should try to toughen up. I did 33 push-ups yesterday, but now it hurts to raise my arms above my shoulders, and the ribs are a little sore. Today's my rest day, but I'll be back on track tomorrow.

I also did 152 sit-ups but feel pretty good.

Good for you - those training programs sound amazing, I may have to try it out. I've always thought that running/walking, sit-ups, and push-ups are all you really need to stay physically fit.

Good luck!

Thanks! It helps me the most if I have a program to follow, goals to cross off. It's a cool program, easy to do on your own. I can feel it working (I hope that's what it is!) :)

Remember back when we were younger and watched that episode of "Doug" where they had the sit-up competition, and then you did something like 400 sit-ups while I counted and held your feet? That was impressive. Glad to see you back after it.
